As we sit. (late night blog, will edit later! maybe)

The walk is on, the wind blows, the night is enveloped in chilled weather. What a nice night to go for a walk. Clear sky, a nice breeze and not a soul to be seen. Here is a perfect summer night walk. My dogs and I make our way to the recreation center. On the way, they relieve themselves, I clean up, and trash the clean up. In between I daze off in sort a walker’s high. I think of things, and just chill my mind.

We make our way to the recreation area, not a soul in site. So we head to the playground, where I let my dogs run around for a bit. Nellie loves climbing the play gym to only shoot down the slide. Saranac goes onto the bouncy bridge to bounce like a silly fool of course. Chimay…well…Chimay is Chimay. She runs around the play ground in circles until she is tired..or well, till we leave.

I sat there on the tire like swing, there I just thought and let the mind run loose.

Vacation time is near over, work season has begun. My time is pretty limited now, which is good news for the dog park. When I’m off having summer fun that means I have little to no time to do laptop research google work stuff. That’s if I even have a laptop with internet..thanks to camp grounds not catching up to wifi yet..sorta a good thing I guess.

So I sit and enjoy watching the dogs act like children. The dog park is about to get very active again, and with that I ponder about other things. Other projects that I would love to go about doing. Other things I wish to see the township and county go about doing.

i wish I could share all of them, but there are so many it would be a book of a blog…heh, not sure if I have the energy to write that nor if you have the energy or will to read that.

As I stated before, I wish to see Newtown Township take to completing a sidewalk on Eagle Road where one doesn’t need to travel through a neighborhood to get to town. I also wish to see Newtown Township take on a side walk on 413. For the Newtown part, come on, it shouldn’t be that hard! You got at least 3 developments going in on 413. Near Wrighstown, then between Newtown Grant north and south, near the Akshar (sp?) Vet Clinic, and another one near Tyler Walk. Aren’t these developers required to put in side walks any who? Why not make them pull through with this requirement? If not..well, that sucks, why not make it a requirement and make them put some side walks along 413. Then you have the Woll Tract, have some of that land near 413 become a side walk as well.

The rest I guess the township would have to cover to finish the side walk project, but frankly a sidewalk along 413 is a big investment that should be considered.

Then here comes my bike path idea, to make our town a bit more trendy and hopping, why not play into the nature lover’s ear, lets rig up a bike path that would run along the Newtown creek, and would meet up with the Neshaminy Creek.

On the County side, we should look into a similar bike path all along the Neshaminy Creek to meet up with the Delaware River. It may be costly, but the pay off well, the pay off is a nice path you can ride your bike, walk your dogs, take a jog along the beautiful water way..from north to south.

Another County issue is Trans Fat, I wish to see the county put a ban on this, to join the many other cities, municipals, and counties in the fight against trans fat. That and smoking in restaurants.

Finally, I think the township and county should look into a 1% “clone tax”. What’s a clone tax? Well, it’s my version of saying, tax every restaurant that does the same exact thing as the next restaurant across the street. Pizza, Italian, Hoagies, Bagels, Pubs/Bars, Chinese, Thai. Whatever. Use this tax to bring incentives to non-clone restaurants, Greek, Vegetarian, Organic, French, Russian, etc. Let’s help attract more restaurants to our area of different taste, not of the same. It’s fine if you want to open up the 1 billionth pizza place, or the 12 billionth Italian restaurant, but honestly, your restaurant is no different from that one over there..and there be should a small 1% tax to give an incentive to help restaurant entrepreneurs that want to bring a different menu to the table of Bucks. This incentive can be used to attract such groups as the Starr Restaurant Group, or the Susanna Foo Group, or some independent chefs similar to Chef Pierre to help bring some Le Bec Fin style restaurants to the county.

Just thoughts and ideas that I came up with while watching my girls at like clowns on the play gym.

Though thats it for now,

blogya later
